Eugene Kaspersky to keynote OFFZONE 2025
In his address titled Cyber Immunity for
the cyber age, the keynote speaker will elaborate on today’s
challenges in the cyber threat landscape and a new approach to protecting
digital ecosystems
The expert will open OFFZONE 2025 with a talk exploring
why, in the era of digital transformation, traditional approaches to cybersecurity
are giving way to the concept of “Cyber Immunity.” This new digital
defense paradigm is based on the following principle: the investment
cost of a cyberattack needs to greatly outweigh its potential
returns, and the scope of cybersecurity solutions must ensure reliable
defensive coverage across the entire digital ecosystem as a response.
Eugene Kaspersky is the founder and CEO of Kaspersky,
the world’s largest privately-held company specializing in the development
of innovative cybersecurity solutions. His career in information security
began in 1989 when he accidentally discovered the Cascade virus on his
computer. The collection of antivirus modules personally created by Eugene
later became the core of Kaspersky antivirus database, which today is made
up of more than 500 million malware samples. Under Eugene’s
leadership, the company has received worldwide recognition and a great
many international awards for its technological and scientific achievements.
Digital technology has permeated every
aspect of life, while the extent of the threats it brings
continues to grow every year. To get an idea of the scale
of the threats, in 2024, we recorded almost half a million
new malicious files daily. Accordingly, cybersecurity today is not
just about protection for endpoints; it is a cornerstone
of effective business and dependable critical infrastructure.
